Most concrete floors start their life looking exactly the same - flat, gray, and completely forgettable. That was the situation here. A large commercial space with a plain concrete slab, cracks and all, just sitting there with zero personality. That's where we came in.
Prep work is everything with epoxy. Before a single drop of coating goes down, the concrete has to be ground down properly so the epoxy actually bonds to the surface. You can see our team running the grinder across the full floor, with the vacuum system pulling dust the whole time. That step isn't optional - skip it and the coating will fail. We don't cut corners on it.
Once the surface was dialed in, we laid down a base coat and started building the metallic design. This one used red, white, and blue metallic pigments - a patriotic look the customer specifically wanted. The way metallic epoxy works is that the pigments move and swirl as the product self-levels, creating those wave-like patterns you see across the entire floor. No two floors ever come out exactly the same. That's part of what makes it special.
The finished floor is high-gloss, seamless, and built to handle real use. It's not just a pretty surface - epoxy coatings are resistant to stains, chemicals, and heavy foot traffic. For a commercial space this size, that durability matters just as much as the look. The ceiling lights reflecting off the finished surface show just how much depth the metallic system creates.
This is one of those jobs where the before and after tells the whole story. What started as a cracked, worn slab ended up as a showpiece floor that sets the tone for the entire space. Custom metallic epoxy coatings like this work just as well in garages, workshops, showrooms, and event spaces.
